Dr Tarek has been working alongside our Chiropractic team for over 6 years.
Dr Tarek graduated from Macquarie University in 2004 with a Bachelor of Chiropractic Science, majoring in anatomy, physiology and chiropractic technique. In 2006, he completed his Masters of Chiropractic degree again at Macquarie University. It is paramount he stays up to date with the latest research and techniques, therefore he has under taken numerous seminars in sports medicine, acupuncture, rehabilitation and have recently completed a year long certificate program in Chiropractic Paediatrics.
Dr Tarek has been privileged to work alongside and learn from some of Australia’s finest Chiropractors. In addition, he has been fortunate to work alongside many medical doctors and specialists. The wealth of information he has absorbed has allowed him to provide exceptional care for all his patients. During his student years, he worked as a chiropractic assistant for the NBL Western Razorbacks Basketball team. This gave him a great insight into professional sports chiropractic as well as invaluable experience which helped shape him up for the person he is today.
Dr Tarek has experienced many miracles under his care. Amongst the many miracles his been part of and one of the most memorable is helping a young 12 week old baby with colic. 12 weeks of constant crying and poor eating habits the poor baby and mother were stressed and also lacking sleep. After a detailed examination Dr Tarek found nerve interference coming from the baby neck. A gentle chiropractic adjustment was performed and the baby was sound asleep within 5 minutes. Following several more treatments the baby was sleeping throughout the night and putting on weight. Being part of magical transformation such as this is what makes Chiropractic one of the most enjoyable and rewarding professions in the world.
He has also been very fortunate to meet and treat elite sports people and movie stars. Among the many famous people he has treated include NSW Origin and Canterbury legend Trent Hodkinson as well as movie personality from Winners and Losers and All Saints Virginia Gay. On Top of having his own clinics in Wollongong and Sydney, Dr Tarek thoroughly enjoys his time in picturesque Tumut, and will continue to travel to Tumut for many more years to come.
